Winter Activities
Winter in South Tyrol primarily means snow fun and slope enjoyment. The beautiful natural landscape transforms annually into a fairytale winter paradise. Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and winter hiking are just some of the diverse activities that Sterzing and its surroundings offer. But don’t worry, there’s always something for wellness enthusiasts and non-skiers too.
Ladurns Ski Area – Skiing between Brenner and Sterzing
The Ladurns – Pflersch ski area is wonderfully nestled in the massive mountain ranges of the South Tyrolean Eisack Valley and precisely between Brenner and Sterzing, just a few kilometers from our Saxl Hotel.
It is considered “small but exquisite” and is therefore particularly popular with families and children. However, boredom is out of the question: a total of 15 km of excellently prepared (easy, medium, and difficult) ski slopes, a newly built 6.5 km toboggan run, a beautiful fun park for snowboarders, and a fun children’s ski school for the youngest guests ensure fun and entertainment.
And more…

- New 6.5 km long toboggan run from Ladurner Alm to the valley station
