Winter activities

In winter - when the landscape is covered with a soft white blanket - Alto Adige turns into a true paradise for the lovers of winter sports. Skiing, snowboarding, sledding, as well as snowshoeing are just a small part of countless activities offered by Vipiteno and its surroundings. But don't worry, even those who don't ski, or prefer to have a day of relaxation, won't be bored.

The ski area Ladurns Fleres is wonderfully set between the massive mountain ranges of Isarco Valley, if to be more exact, between municipalities of Brennero and Vipiteno, just a few kilometres from our Hotel Saxl.

The ski resort Ladurns Fleres is often defined as "small, but pretty", and it is perfect for families with children. It is really difficult to get bored here: 15 km of ski slopes (of easy, medium, and hard levels), all perfectly snowed, a new sledding track 6,5 km long, a wonderful funpark for snowboarders, and a ski school for our younger guests, - will render your days exciting and eventful.

Monte Cavallo - just 5 minutes from the historic centre of Vipiteno (960 - 2189 m)

From the pedestrian zone of Vipiteno, just in 5 minutes one can reach the cable car station of Monte Cavallo, and get to 1860 meters of altitude.
Incredible, isn't it? Well yes, but all this is true: once you arrive at the destination, you will find numerous activities to be undertaken. In fact, you'll be able to devote yourselves to different winter sports, or to enjoy the warmth of sun rays, while seated comfortably in front of a traditional hut.

Monte Cavallo is an ideal place for practicing winter sports. It's a place where the amusement - both on track and off track - is guaranteed!  This is owed to the unforgettable excursions with snowshoes, and to the hilarious sledding on a track 10 km long, that will lead you up to the valley.
